After more than 35 years as a shareholder in two prestigious law firms in Salt Lake City, Utah, Damon Coombs established D. E. Coombs Law, PLLC, in 2016 through which he continues his career as a solo lawyer. He is also of counsel to The McCullough Group, in Salt Lake City. He practices in several areas of law, including corporate and LLC formation and governance, business taxation, tax exempt organizations, real estate, and estate planning and administration. Mr. Coombs has maintained a perfect 5.0 rating with Martindale-Hubbell and has been ranked among Utah’s Legal Elite, according to Utah Business Magazine.

Mr. Coombs graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah, with a political science degree and economics minor, and a certificate in international relations. As an undergraduate, he was inducted by the Phi Kappa Phi honor society and the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He completed his education at The George Washington University, earning a juris doctorate.

Away from his work in law, Mr. Coombs is a director of Friends of MS Charities, providing grants to support research in treatment of Multiple Sclerosis. He is a former president of Heart and Soul, a charity furnishing music and entertainment for senior communities and communities of other institutionalized persons. He is also a former president of the West Valley Rotary Club. He is deeply involved in his family. His other interests include cycling, woodwork and auto repair. He cycles in support of fundraising for research for the treatment of MS, to which his beloved wife Becky succumbed in 2022.
